The animal characters that inhabit my work navigate the comedies and tragedies of everyday life. They’re my confidants, clowns, comforters, heroes. As the world poses new dilemmas, they respond, and come to populate new bodies of work. Recently the Covid Crowds appeared. Panicked and irresponsible, they piled, tumbled and crowded into their rectangles. These drawings were made daily during the summer of 2020.
All are 9" x 12", acrylic on bristol paper.
